6 pm to 7 pm

Hosting friends and family for meals takes effort, but it is something we have come to appreciate more during the past months when get-togethers were curtailed. Join Ann Brodeur as she discusses the significance of hospitality across time and cultures. Hospitality reveals the social dimension of the person, expressed in the desire for relationships through conviviality around a shared table. This desire is an expression of our humanness as social beings.
Dr. Ann Brodeur is Assistant Professor of History and Catholic Studies at the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND. She specializes in the social history of ancient and medieval Europe and the Middle East. Ann holds a MA from the Catholic University of American and a PhD from the University of Toronto.
Register in advance for this meeting. Once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email with a Zoom link.
