This year we will focus on home as a place for beauty.
In addition to meditations on Scripture, time for silent prayer, Holy Mass, and the Sacrament of Reconciliation, this retreat will include talks and art sessions on the theme of home as a place to pause and wonder, so as to encounter and respond to beauty.

“"We need beauty....Our homes cannot contain the beauty of the starry sky, the Grand Canyon, the dome of St. Peter's....But it is in our thoughtful homes that we are given the change to pause and gaze and wonder, to slow down enough to recognize beauty in familiar, homely things....In them, we learn how to respond to the beauty we encounter elsewhere: to spend a few minutes watching a glorious sunset instead of hurrying back inside to get things done, to gaze at St. Peter's instead of turning our backs for a selfie, to smile back at the smiling face of our infant daughter instead of trying to capture her smile on our phone." (Dia Boyle, The Thoughtful Home, p. 75)
